In the event of an accident on the water during a race, the nearest umpire will give the order over the regatta radio to CEASE RACING, and will radio to the on-water rescue boat. As soon as it has become clear that emergency services are needed, the umpire or the rescue boat will call 999, giving the regatta address as riverbank accessed from Ferry Road West Molesey.
Any casualty in need of treatment will be taken by the rescue boat to the boat raft at the Finish for temporary treatment by First Aid personnel.
The Chief Marshal will authorise recommencement of racing only when it is clear that it is safe to do so.
