Events are still being planned.  Here is what has been arranged already:

  • Of course you can sit on the bank and watch the racing. We are aiming at 150 races on each day
  • The bar will be selling beer, wine and Pimms
  • Daytime music and entertainment on both days
  • Cocktails and Molesey Gin are under negotiation
  • Teas, coffee, home made cakes and sandwiches will be available.
  • Pizza
  • Lebanese wraps
  • Barbecue
  • A children’s fairground
  • A Punch and Judy
  • Free entry and a donation to park your car – plenty of space
  • If you wish to get away from all this, you can just walk up the bank and find a quiet spot

The towpath and the riverbank are open, and provide a lovely setting for a picnic – and there will be racing going by to watch. Bring your own blanket!

If you wish, you can walk ten minutes up the river to see the excitement of the start. The Saturday start is opposite Aquarius Sailing Club at Cherry Orchard Road, and the Finish is just past the end of Platts Eyot. The race course on Saturday is 850m long and takes about 3 minutes for each race. On Sunday the course is shortened to 500m.
