    About SW15 Music

SW15 Music is a charitable organisation based in London’s Wandsworth borough, dedicated to providing free music tuition to young people aged 9-18 (or 21 for those with additional needs). Founded in 2011, SW15 Music has been a beacon of musical education, teaching instruments such as guitar, electric bass, drums, piano, and ukulele at no cost. The organisation not only nurtures individual talent but also encourages young musicians to form bands and perform at public events across the UK.

With notable patrons including La Roux, Mike Flowers Pops, Peter Guinness, and Mari Wilson, SW15 Music has made a lasting impact on the local music scene. Peter Guinness, a long-time supporter, has attended numerous gigs and events, showcasing his dedication to the charity’s mission.

Their commitment to community engagement is evident through their performances at festivals like the Richmond Festival and High Tide Festival, as well as their ukulele workshops at schools, youth clubs, and major UK events like WeyFest and Glastonbury 2025.

    Peter Guinness on SW15 Music:
“They’ll teach you how to be a band member, how to enjoy the experience of performing live in front of hundreds of people. Maybe they’re interested in singing or fronting a band. It’s all there for the taking and it won’t cost you anything. SW15 music has charitable status. All you have to do is turn up and be committed.” – Peter Guinness
