ENTERTAINMENT AT THE REGATTA

MOLESEY REGATTA  –  WHAT DO WE DO

Plans for 2024 are still being developed, but here is a flavour and you can also see what we did last year. Expect all this to be updated by the end of May.

We are Molesey Regatta and we hold our two day rowing event every year along the banks of the River Thames along the Hurst Park in East Molesey upstream from Hampton Court Palace . Racing involves the masters and senior adult racing on Saturday and Juniors on Sunday. We charge entry fees to race but all the other entertainment we provide is free.

We have marquees with a food and beer tent ,

We have a stage for music and performers to entertain the spectators and rowers.

There is children’s entertainment ranging from a circus workshop, stilt walking , bubbly balloon blowing to outdoor games face painting and so on.

his event has taken place every year apart from during the First and Second Year Wars since 1867 and  is a well loved local event amongst the local and rowing communities. It is where the land and river come together.

We are also an eco friendly event using re-usable and re-cycling plastics and are we are very much involved with the preservation of the hurst parkland and the insect and bird life that thrives along this stretch of river.
